Bubble Gum Alley
Located in downtown San Luis Obispo (on Higuera St, just North of Broad St) The gum started appearing on the walls in 1960. People complained but the gum kept on coming. There are a few shops that have gumball machines on the sidewalk so if you want to add to the wall, chew and stick! |

Hearst Castle
Hearst Castle is a palatial estate on the central California coast and a National Historic Landmark. It was designed by architect Julia Morgan for newspaper magnate William Randolph Hearst from 1919 until 1947. In 1957 the Hearst Corporation donated the property to the state of California. Since that time it has been maintained as state historic park where the estate and its considerable collection of art and antiques are open for public tours. Despite its location far from any urban center, the site attracts roughly one million visitors per year. |

Sub Sea Tours
Take a dive without getting wet! Enjoy the abovewater & underwater views that only Sub-Sea Tours and Morro Bay can give. The first part of the tour is above water where you can expect to see seals, sea otters, sea lions, and various sea birds. At the north end of the harbor there is a kelp forest. You can go down below and view the kelp through the windows that are located on either side of the boat. There is a long seat that runs down the middle for relaxed viewing. The skipper throws food over the side of the boat and the fish that live in and around the kelp will come swimming up to the windows to eat. |

Railroad Depot
Admission is FREE; free parking. Local train buffs, modelers, historians and kids of all ages can see working model displays including layouts of HO, N and O Scale trains. The Depot's recently restored 1907 wooden caboose will also be open plus a model train Yard Sale, Bar-B-Q tri-tip sandwiches, Doc Burstein's Ice Cream, drinks and popcorn for sale by the Depot volunteers. |

Jack House
(536 Marsh Street) Built in the late 1870s and deeded to the city by the Jack family in 1974, this historic Victorian home has been fully restored into a "living museum", giving visitors a glimpse of life at the turn of the century. Madonna Inn
The Madonna Inn is a motel of flamboyant style in San Luis Obispo, California. Opened for business in 1958, the motel is a landmark on the Central Coast of California. The motel is a monument of unremitting kitsch, a Swiss-Alp exterior and lavish pink common rooms. Each room in the Madonna Inn is uniquely designed and themed. Its famed rock waterfall urinal is a fixture along California's Central Coast. Many tourists come to visit the urinal, to the embarrassment of males who genuinely need to use the facilities.

Apple Farm Mill House
(2015 Monterey St.) An authentic working grist mill amid scenic gardens and waterfalls. Visitors can watch as an ingenious system of pulleys, shafts, gears and water produces stone-ground wheat, fresh apple cider and even ice cream.

County Historical Museum
Situated in a lovely red brick Carnegie building, the museum features an interesting collection of antique household goods found in the region, along with an entire section on the history of the Chinese settlers who suffered discrimination during the Gold Rush era. |
